The Second Step
Congratulations! The first step is the most challenging and you have
completed that! The rest of the process should be even easier for you!
Cleaning of your photos-
You'll need:
A Microfiber cloth

Chances are your photos have been sitting for years and have gathered
dust and film that needs to be cleaned off. Simply wipe them off with
a microfiber cloth on both sides BEFORE
you put them in the baggie or box. (Even if they look clean to you,
wipe them down anyway) This will help to eliminate the dust particles
that can show up during the scanning process and will make for a
clearer image.
Microfiber cloths can be purchased at most retailers that sell housewares. I have even seen them at Target. Regular towels are not as delicate on your photographs and may not pull off all of the dust and debris.
